This past October I had the incredible opportunity to spend two full days with other like-minded creatives at The Olana, right outside Dallas Texas for the Styled Shoots Across America Conference. I plan to have a more detailed blog post about my experience as a whole, but for now as I catch up on editing three days worth of six styled shoots I want to have smaller blog posts for each shoot. I these posts to serve as wedding day inspiration to other brides for some very unique details they can incorporate into their planning.
The first shoot of the conference for my group was “Neutrals” themed. In my head, however, I think of it as the “Pink” shoot because there were gorgeous pink blossoms everywhere. Flower Shack Blooms created a beautiful floral fireplace masterpiece to pair with the bouquet and table scape.
The Models
Kenzie and Everett were surprisingly not a real couple, despite the obvious chemistry they share. They were two strangers, and yet were able to create these sweet moments together. After looking at these, photos though, can you blame me for thinking they are a real couple?
As an added bonus, we got to start off the shoot from the balcony and steal some amazing overhead shots of our couple and the venue! This was such a unique vantage point that allowed for a lot of creativity in framing shots.
Bridals
Kenzie is so gorgeous, and really rocked this giant gold ballgown. She was a trooper while we had her walk all over the drawing room to get her in some of these poses while wearing several pounds of dress. Also, can we talk about how she could probably pull off wearing a tiara in every day life? I love that this dress isn’t a traditional white, the color is amazing for Kenzie and the gold tone gives it such a regal appearance. It’s a true princess ballgown for brides who want that royal look.
Groom Shots
Just look at that smolder! Also probably one of my favorite things about these groom shots is the light that reflected off the chandelier overhead that created the little rainbows all over.
The Details
The gorgeous lattice work on the three tiered masterpiece of cake was created by XO Cakery from the Dallas Forth Worth area. It is such a delicate work of art. The beautiful stationary was created by Ashley Barad of InvitoBella, who is based out of L.A. Her pieces pair perfectly with the Bella Belle shoes and silk ribbon. Yet again, I think of peaches and pinks or pastels as an appropriate theme for this shoot.
